My Hair Changes Tomorrow

Very long overdue, I am finally getting my hair done in the morning. I am currently darker brown, but am going hopefully pretty blonde. I don't think that I have been blonde for a few years! The last time I got my hair done was like last November! At that time, I cut about 13 inches off! Since then, it has re-grown about 6 inches and is finally past my shoulders again. I don't think that I have had "long blonde hair--ever!" My, I didn't even realize.
I guess I'll have to wait and see.
Today I took the girls and Jack to The Pie for lunch. They have summer school Monday - Thursday in the morning until 11:30. I really miss them that often. Come to think of it though, Logan will now have school every day for the 'rest of her life!" That is so sad!! I am going to miss her so much. She is such a tremendous help to me with Jack. (Is it possible for a 5 year old to raise an infant?) Logan is now playing at Sophies and I think they are swimming at the pool. Fun for them since the weather is near 90 degrees. I love it though, I can't complain.
Jensyn is just destroying all laundry that has been done, trying on all sorts of things. She is my wild hair, and I love her to death. "Mommy, I have permission to hold Jack, don't I?"
John is still out working, but I do expect him home soon. I love him so much and I hope that he hears it and knows it every day.
Life is great.

To Jack

Hi Baby Jack! I am so glad that you are here with us now! Your dad has waited his whole life for you and is probably very relieved to have you! You carry a wonderful name, John Daniel McAllister VI. I am so happy to have you take after your dad. Thanks for being such a wonderful sleeper (although daytime naps without the vaccum running would be nice!) Nearly every day I take you "out and about", I receive compliments galore on you. You are one cool dude! You really must take after your dad!! I love to be with you and I am so glad that Heavenly Father sent you to us. I hope that for your whole life, you will carry your name sake and honor it, as well as your family. I love you so much!

To Jensyn:

J, J-Bird, Blondie. You are my sunshine wherever you go! You are such a happy, colorful little girl. You surprised us by coming to us, but we are so happy you did. You must have always wanted to be close with Logan. I love your blonde hair-but I have no idea where it came from! You are much like me, a night owl, a talker, a giggler, and very expressive. You love school--I think mostly for the social aspect! You teach me patience but most of all, the joy in life. Always stay happy, and don't ever lose your way. I love you!

To Logan:

Squishy toes, Easter Bunny, Kabodan, Kaboner. I love you so much. You are such a beautiful little 5 year old. Preschool has worked magic on you and you can now read pretty well! A great start to kindergarten this fall. Dad always calls you memorex because you know and can remember everything! I have appreciated all you have done to help with baby Jack. He and Jensyn love you so much for being their big sister. You have always tried to be a pleaser. You love going to church and sometimes are the reason that we end up going that particular week. I am so proud of you and am so glad that you are my little girl. Your dad loves you and loves spending time with you. When you were born, there were dry patches of skin. One, in particular was between your shoulder blades. Upon asking you dad what causes it, he said "it is where they cut off her wings." I don't think I'll ever forget that. I love how you are always telling me how you love me. You are the best.
I hope that you will always rememer who you are and that your dad and I love you so much!

I love you!

To John

I love you so much. You are everything to me and love to think about you. I have now known you for more than half of my life. You are the most wonderful, hard working guy that I have ever known. I am so blessed to have you in my life. You are most often times my strength and my courage. You have always been able to understand me and know just what it is that I need. Thank you for all that you do for me--I am one bossy broad! (as Grandpa Shipp would say!) I must say that you are an amazing person and quite frankly, the best looking man I have EVER seen. Thank you for choosing me. Our first 9 years went way too fast, but look forward to the rest of our lives together. I love you, John!

This is John and me at the cabin, doing one of the things in this world that John loves most. Snowmobiling! He got this new machine for Christmas of 2006 and has had 2 wonderful winters of riding. He says the fastest he's gotten it is 92 miles per hour. Scary!

John loves to go out to the desert and shoot, especially with Chelsey and Tony. We always seem to have a great time out there. He is a really great shot!

Sorry, I just think that he is so hot!

This is a good picture because this is John. He really doesn't have much to say unless he feels like it! He is a man of few words.

A New Blog

I totally did some weird things with the last blog space that I did. I am going to attempt this once again and start all over. Once I get the hang of it, maybe it will work out better. I want to use this more as a journal and really try to record the fun, everyday things that go on in our house. Little things are said that should really last forever. I may get a little sappy, probably more often than not, but as the words say under our main picture,

"Be who you are and say what you will because the people who mind don't matter, and the people who matter don't mind."

This describes John and I exactly. We are who we are, we don't put on the show, and as John says, "it is what it is."
