You'll NEVER guess what we did for New Years!

Yes, yes, yes. Our lives and plans never change. For several years now, we have gone up to the cabin the week after Christmas and stay for New Years. This year was no exception to that rule! John and I took the kids up on the Saturday after Christmas with Casey and her kids. She had to get back for work, but we stayed. We were finally joined by my mom and dad on the following Tuesday. We played Sequence many, many times and it seems as though my mom is the reigning champion. We laughed and laughed--until we cried! She was hilarious. On New Years Eve, we were glad when Chelsey and Tony came with Hogan, Casey and her girls came back up, and we were also joined by Kirt, Leslie and their kids. Again, we laughed and laughed while playing Sequence. This time we had to play in teams. I think that my mom and Casey won the first game and then Chelsey and Tony won the second game. (Don't you feel bad for the person who had to be on my team?) I made it to midnight, but just barely. Paul and Shelly brought their family up to spend New Years Day with us We stayed up late playing Quelf, Sequence, and then Rumikub (sp?). After a long, fun week, we packed it in and finally came home today. --just in time for John to plow snow in the morning! I think our next adventure up there will be next weekend with Chelsey and Tony. The cabin seems to be Johns inner peace. The kids love it up there. Sledding, snowmobiling, games, and food--couldn't get any better!

Best Friends, reunited. Baxter and Murphy.
